The K2 roof vent is a good example of this design ethos and offers the ability to withstand extremes of wind (300 Pascals) and rainfall (up to 5 inches an hour) without any leakage. K2 Window & Door Systems offers a comprehensive portfolio of products – including a 60mm window system. This range utilises fully sculptured profiles for maximum visual affect and is manufactured from 100% virgin material to ensure optimum levels of quality and performance. The system also features a unique sculptured Georgian bar and is available in white, golden oak, mahogany and rosewood.

The Cavity Closer system is just one of the many products offered by K2 Window & Door Systems that has been developed for use on new build projects. Suitable for cavity widths of 50, 75 and 100mm, this system employs injection moulded corners which remove the need for mitres and welding. It can also accommodate various jamb details.

The Head Vent is another K2 Window & Door Systems product that is particularly suited to new build projects. It also has the ability to accommodate standard trickle ventilators and has a featured rebate enabling it to accept plaster board linings.

In 2003, K2 incorporated a company with over 12 years’ experience of supplying glass conservatories into the business to form K2 Glass. This specialist division now offers a full range of products – including the widely acclaimed Celsius performance glass. Thanks to its ability to reflect over 3 times more solar energy and to provide 50% more insulation than conventional glass, Celsius can help to keep conservatories cool in summer and warm winter. This benefit, combined with initiatives such as a 5 to 7 day turnaround on orders and delivery to site, has ensured over 70,000m2 of this product has been installed to date.

Building on the success of Celsius, K2 Glass has developed an enhanced product with an even higher specification. Suited for use where heat retention is of the utmost importance, Celsius 1.1 has a ‘u’ value (denoting its insulation properties) of 1.1 compared to 1.4 for the standard Celsius range. Celsius 1.1 also offers 25% more solar heat reflection and visible light transmittance of 43%.

In addition to the market leading Celsius and Celsius 1.1, K2 Glass offers other types of glass for use in conservatory roofs. With a U-value of 2.6 (gas filled) bronze anti-sun glazing provides an alternative to Celsius.
