K2 has a long-standing relationship with Queens University Belfast. The company’s close partnership with the university dates back to November 2002 when K2 first became involved in the Knowledge Transfer Partnership Scheme. This government-funded initiative enables private and public sector research organisations to apply their research knowledge to important business issues.

Manufacturers and vendor affiliates have joined together to provide a unified voice before the government, industry, media, and the public. The primary focus at the outset has been to tackle issues related to code limitations across the United States.
